Bright start not enough

NortherNIreland were beaten 4-1 by a strong Denmark side in last night's U21 friendly at Stangmore Park, Dungannon. Stephen robinson's side looked to have shaken off the disappointment of May's 3-0 european Qualifier defeat to Cyprus and were level at half-time. Southend defender Adam thompson's headed in Northern Ireland's equaliser on 24 minutes after Youssef toutouh's put the visitors in front. A Nicolai Brock-Madsen double effectvely ended the game as a contest on the hour mark and a rasmus Jensen tap-in five minutes later put the icing on the cake. Northern Ireland boss Stephen robinson would have been looking for a better second-half performance as his side prepare for their next 2015 european Championship qualifying game, which is away to Belgium on the September 9.
