IF you go down to Slieve Gullion woods today, you're sure of a big surprise.
You will meet up with Finn McCool, the Faery Queen, the witch Cailleach Bheara and the Birdman of Slieve Donard and many more strange and unusual characters.
It's part of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s summer of #GiantAdventures with Slieve Gullion Forest Park playing host to this gathering of mythical, magical creatures who have been created by local writer Declan Carville.
Production Company Footsteps developed Declan’s stories into eye catching, enchanted characters to enthral visitors to the forest during the Footsteps in the Forest Festival.
The event will run from 10am to 7.30pm daily and the good news is that it's on for another day on Saturday, August 27.
