ÓGRA COLMCILLE: There will be a fun day this Saturday at the football field. Running from 10am to 4pm, it will include hurling skills, face painting, drama, races, bouncy castles, vintage cars and tractors. Everyone is welcome. At 8pm, the annual duck race will take place down the Drummullan River. Ducks £5 each. £100 prize to winning duck.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: The club has made a block booking for 40 rooms for the night of the gala ball on November 4. The rate is £120 per double/twin room, inclusive of full Irish breakfast. Phone the Carrickdale on (+353) 42 938 0900 and quote St John’s Gala.

GLASDRUMMAN: The club bingo session continues at 8.30pm on Thursdays. The usual return bus is available from Kilkeel, Ballymartin and Annalong.
