Third of NI drivers 'distracted' by sports commentary

Nearly one in 20 confessed to almost having an accident due to being distracted by sports on the radio while driving
EURO 2016 could cause a surge in erratic driving across Northern Ireland as more than a third of sport-loving motorists say they feel distracted by sports commentary. In a survey 34 per cent said they have felt distracted while listening to sports commentary when driving, and 31 per cent admitted feeling angry. By comparison just 22 per cent of motorists in England and 16 per cent in Wales felt distracted while listening to sports commentary on the radio.
