On This Day - January 14 1999: West Ham's Declan Rice was born

Declan Rice, pictured above in action for the Republic of Ireland U21s, is a player who is eligible to play for either England or Ireland. The player, who has played three friendly games for Ireland at senior level, has not yet made a decision on where his international future lies. Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has said he would like to build a team around him.
