DOWN GAA HISTORIANS: A group of GAA historians have started work on a new publication on the history of GAA clubs in Down, which should be ready by Summer 2017. The book will contain an up to date account of the history and achievements of all GAA clubs (past and present) in the county. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Southern Area Hospice.

ST. MICHAEL'S MAGHERALIN: The club will be holding a Children's Christmas Party this Sunday December 18, at 2.30pm. The Christmas Draw will also be made at the party.

ST MARY’S ARDMORE: Tickets are now on sale for the Annual Draw. Tickets are £5 each, a book of five for £20, book of 10 for £40. Tickets are available from all club members. First prize £1000, second £500, third £300, fourth £200, fifth £100. The draw takes place on Saturday January 28 at McCourt’s Bar, Ardmore. GLASDRUMMAN: The club pass on their deepest condolences to the McGreevy, McCartan and McDowell families on learning of the death of Kathleen, great aunt of esteemed club Chairman Gary McGreevy and committee member Jen McKay.

CUMANN PHEADAIR NAOFA: Santa is coming to the club this Saturday, December 17 by Fire Engine at 3pm. Come along and get in the Christmas spirit, entry is £2 per child.

ST JOHN’S DRUMNAQUOILE: Pep will be at the club for anyone who has Christmas gear to collect this morning from 11am-12noon and this evening from 7.30-8.30pm. All gear must be paid for in full before collecting.

LAMH DHEARG CLG: The club will hold its annual Senior Presentation Awards night in the clubrooms on Friday December 30. Tickets are £10.

OMAGH ST ENDA'S: Big Bingo will take place in the clubrooms tonight at 9pm, with a £6,000 payout including two £1,000 houses.

GLENN JOHN MARTIN: This Sunday, December 18 at 3pm, the club will hold an afternoon of fun for the young people in the area with a singalong to Frozen on the big screen at the clubrooms and the arrival of Santa.

PEARSE OG ARMAGH: KidZumba classes for all playing and non-playing girls and boys primary up to first year continues this Friday from 7pm-8pm in the Social Club. Cost is £1 per session. The Senior Citizens Christmas party is on this Saturday December 17 in the social club with live music by 2nd Drawer Down and a special appearance by The Bard of Armagh. Santa will be arriving at social club by Fire Engine at 3pm followed by disco, games and face painting with a gift for every child. Admission is £5.

EIRE OG CRAIGAVON: The big breakfast morning is this Sunday in the social club lounge from 9am-12.15pm. Adults £5 and kids £4 with a visit from Santa who will be handing out selection boxes. All welcome.

O’DONOVAN ROSSA: This Saturday marks the final stages of O'Donovan Rossa's centenary year with a number of events, beginning at 1pm at Falls Park with a Santa Dash with the option of either a 5k run/jog or 3k walk. This is open to all, but the wearing of a Santa suit is mandatory. At the Wolf and Whistle (formerly Whitefort) on the Andersonstown Road, the club's centenary book will be formally launched from 3pm. There will also be a centenary exhibition with some special guests as well as a presentation of medals to the ladies footballers, hurlers and footballers with live entertainment to follow.

ST ERGNATS MONEYGLASS: There will be an Extraordinary General Meeting on Monday December 19 at 7.30pm in the clubroom. This is important club business and it’s imperative that all club officials, coaches, senior players and members attend.

SLAUGHTNEIL ROBERT EMMETS: The dinner dance takes place on Friday December 30 in the Glenavon House Hotel. Tickets, priced £30, are on sale from 7pm-8pm from the club on December 16, 19, 21 and 22. December 22 is the final date for buying tickets.
