A NEW book documents the 1950s success of the Holy Cross Boys' football team in north Belfast.

The Boys of 54 was researched and written by primary school's vice-principal Chris Donnelly.

It tells the story of the school, the team and the history of Ardoyne in north Belfast.

The book and associated learning resources in maths and English will be used to teach pupils about the history of their area and football in their school.
