POLICE have charged two people with a number of offences including possession of an imitation firearm following social media posts believed to have been made at a band parade in Co Antrim.
The 35-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman are due in court next month charged with a range of offences including possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, provocative conduct and electronic communications offences.
It is understood the charges are connected to social media posts showing a man in paramilitary uniform pointing what appeared to be a firearm at a band parade.
A number of imitation firearms were recovered following the search of a house at Station Road, Randalstown on Monday.
The man and woman are due before Antrim Magistrates Court on August 7.
