World goes green as Tourism Ireland releases St Patrick's Day film

Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new online film for St Patrick’s Day 2018, to encourage prospective holidaymakers to come and visit the island of Ireland this year.

The film includes drone footage shot around the island of Ireland and urges people everywhere to check out why they need to put a visit on their holiday ‘wish list’ for 2018.

The footage coincides with the annual Tourism Ireland Global Greening initiative in which many landmarks around the world are bathed in green light to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

Around 290 iconic landmarks and sites in 48 countries around the world are joining in by going green over the weekend.
