2009

September - Óglaigh na hÉireann (ONH) is linked to the planting of a 600lb roadside bomb near Forkill, Co Armagh.

October - a booby-trap bomb explodes under the passenger seat of a PSNI dog handler's car in east Belfast. The officer's girlfriend suffers minor injuries in the attack.

November - a 400lb car bomb partially explodes at the Northern Ireland Policing Board headquarters in Belfast.

2010

January - ONH claims responsibility for an under-car booby-trap bomb attack on Catholic officer Peadar Heffron in Randalstown, Co Antrim.

April - the group claims responsibility for a car bomb attack on MI5 Headquarters at Palace Barracks in Holywood, Co Down.

August - a 200lb car bomb explodes outside Strand Road PSNI station in Derry, causing damage to the station and surrounding area.

November - an ONH member on a bike throws an army issue grenade at a police patrol in west Belfast. Three officers are injured and one suffers severe arm wounds and is unable to return to work.

2011

April - ONH members are thought to be involved in gathering information on Catholic police officer Ronan Kerr who dies after a bomb explodes outside his Omagh home.

July - a gunman with an automatic rifle opens fire on police during a riot following a controversial Orange Order march in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast.

December - a booby-trap bomb is discovered under a police officer's car in east Belfast.

2013

March - a mortar attack on New Barnsley PSNI station in Belfast is foiled after a police officer in a lookout tower spots the launcher.

May - shots are fired and a bomb is thrown at PSNI officers as they get out of their vehicle in the Foxes Glen area of Belfast.

July - ONH claims an attempted bomb attack on PSNI officers in north Belfast.

August - an attempt is made to shoot down a PSNI helicopter with a rocket near Cullyhanna, Co Armagh.

November - a proxy car bomb partially explodes near Victoria Square Shopping Centre and Musgrave Street PSNI station in Belfast.

December - ONH claims responsibility for a bomb attack in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter.

2015

December - ONH leaves a bomb in a lane along Carnanbane Road, Banagher, Co Derry, saying it was "an attempt to kill British security force members".

2016

January - ONH claims responsibility for several smaller bomb attacks and paramilitary-style shootings.

2017

The group is thought to be responsible for further small bomb attacks and paramilitary-style shootings. However, it is already believed to have been involved in intensive discussions about its future.

2018

January

The leadership of ONH call a ceasefire with "immediate effect".
