Louise James and pier tragedy survivor baby Rioghnach-Ann attend vigil in Buncrana

THE mother who buried five members of her family after the Buncrana pier tragedy has attended a poignant vigil to mark a week since the tragedy. Several hundred people gathered close to the pier on Sunday for a ceremony to remember the victims. Ms James brought her four-month-old daughter Rioghnach-Ann, who was rescued, with her. She sat alongside Francis and Kay Crawford who had raised the alarm last Sunday night. Ms James expressed her gratitude to "everybody for your words of support, kindness, generosity, everything.
