TÁNAISTE Simon Coveney will provide the opening remarks at an event in west Belfast next week to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.

Féile an Phobail Good Friday Agreement 20 Years On takes place on Tuesday April 10 at St Mary’s College on Falls Road.

Beginning at 8.45am, also speaking alongside the Fine Gael deputy leader will be former Women's Coalition leader Monica McWilliams, ex-Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams and former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The discussion will focus on a number of areas relating to the 1998 accord, including legacy and reconciliation, the peace dividend, and the agreement's impact on future generations.
