TV presenter Andrea McLean has tied the knot with her partner Nick Feeney on the fourth anniversary of their first date.

The Loose Women host, who has been married twice before, celebrated the day with an emotional tribute to her new husband on Instagram.

McLean wrote: “The best day of our lives has begun. I’m so happy that from today Nick and I will be walking through life hand in hand, side by side.

“I didn’t dare hope that I would find love again when all seemed lost, and the world felt dark and sad… but four years ago today I reluctantly went on a blind date and the man who would change my life forever kissed my cheek and whispered ‘I’m so nervous’ in my ear. ‘So am I’ I whispered back.

The best day of our lives has begun. I’m so happy that from today Nick and I will be walking through life hand in hand, side by side. I didn’t dare hope that I would find love again when all seemed lost, and the world felt dark and sad… but four years ago today I reluctantly went on a blind date and the man who would change my life forever kissed my cheek and whispered “I’m so nervous” in my ear. “So am I” I whispered back. In four years we have talked, listened, laughed and learned to love again. My broken heart is not only fixed, it is filled to bursting. I have learned that love in middle age comes with so much more… the past isn’t left behind, it travels with you, and teaches you what you don’t want as much as what you do. It brings baggage, history and scars, but over time it becomes something stronger and more solid because of all of that. I dared to dream, and today my dreams are coming true. I love you @lordfeeney #weddingday #truelove #happilyeverafter #dreamsdocometrue

She said that her “broken heart is not only fixed, it is filled to bursting”.

McLean, 48, added: “I have learned that love in middle age comes with so much more… the past isn’t left behind, it travels with you, and teaches you what you don’t want as much as what you do.

“It brings baggage, history and scars, but over time it becomes something stronger and more solid because of all of that. I dared to dream, and today my dreams are coming true.”

She signed off with an “I love you” to Mr Feeney, and used the hashtags #weddingday #truelove #happilyeverafter and #dreamsdocometrue.

Along with her tribute, she shared a picture of their names and initials together.

McLean and Mr Feeney have been in a relationship since meeting on a blind date in 2013.

The former GMTV weather presenter was previously married to BBC producer Nick Green and builder Steve Toms, and she has two children from her previous marriages.

Mr Feeney has also been married before and has two children.

The couple announced their engagement in August, and last week McLean was surprised with a hen party by her Loose Women co-stars during the ITV programme.
