Jeremy Corbyn was endorsed by actor and comedian Russell Brand.

Writing for the Huffington Post, Brand said: “Jeremy Corbyn has somehow been in politics for decades with his integrity perfectly preserved, like his much-derided beard has functioned as hairy formaldehyde for his principles,” adding, “we have a chance to elect a politician who is committed to serving the people of Britain.”

Brand once said “there’s no point in voting” before famously interviewing Ed Miliband before the 2015 General Election.

A song calling Theresa May a liar has reached number three in the Official Singles Chart today.

Captain Ska’s Liar Liar GE2017 has been purchased online over 30,000 times in the last five days and streamed more than 100,000 times.

The song features clips of May speaking followed by a chorus of “She’s a liar, liar, you can’t trust her, no, no, no”.

First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon was presented with a pair of stained-glass pants emblazoned with the words ‘Grab life by the balls’.
