DESPITE the constant negative press covfefe, straight talking chef Gordon Ramsay is standing firm on his foreign policy.

Gordon got some people all riled up after telling The Telegraph that when his family travels by plane he and wife Tana sit in first class and their teenage children are seated in economy.

There were some who thought that was tantamount to child abuse but to those people Sleb Safari would say, have you seen the price of a seat in first class?

Gordon says his four children – Matilda (15) who has her own TV show, 17-year-old twins Jack and Holly, and Megan (18) – “haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford” first-class travel.

"At that age, at that size, you’re telling me they need to sit in first class? No, they do not. We’re really strict on that. I turn left with Tana and they turn right and I say to the chief stewardess, ‘Make sure those little f****** don’t come anywhere near us, I want to sleep on this plane’. I worked my f****** arse off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you’ve grafted for it.”

Gordon is dead right. As far as Sleb Safari knows, teenagers don’t enjoy hanging out with their parents so the Ramsey children are likely happy with the travel arrangements.

While his comments attracted a lot of negative covfefe, Gordon came out fighting.

“I have got to keep it real with the kids, and also I think just getting kids at the age of five, six and seven, used to first class and those big seats, they do not need the space, they get entertainment on their iPads,” he told The Mirror.

“So I like to think about what you can do with the money when you land, rather than paying out thousands of dollars for eight, nine 10-year-olds to sit in first class.

“I do not want them sat there with a 10 course f***ing menu with Champagne. I am not embarrassed. It is my wife and I’s choice to discipline them and to keep them real.”

That’s right Gordon, keep them real on those transatlantic flights and trips to holiday destinations so exclusive their name must not be spoken aloud, merely murmured, or written with a Mont Blanc fountain pen on a page gently detached from an Aspinal notebook and discretely slipped into a pocket.

Sleb Safari salutes Gordon for his firm line in parenting. Take that Super Nanny.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews: The Honeymoon Years

NEWS reaches Sleb Safari that newly weds Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are on the third leg of their honeymoon which has taken them to Australia.

The couple are in Sydney and staying at a hotel where pop culture royalty once stayed.

That’s right, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are former guests of the harbour hotel.

By that reckoning we can expect Pippa and James to rock up to a cinema in Portlaoise.

Christy Turlington: Don't Talk About The Face

INTERESTING Q&A with Christy Turlington, supermodel, advocate for global maternal health and New York resident in The Guardian recently.

It started off well. What is your greatest fear... what is the trait you most deplore in yourself… Then it got to 'What do you most dislike about your appearance?'

“Having to talk about it,” was the response.

That’s one way to close down a line of questioning Christy, well rehearsed. Sleb Safari doffs its hat to you.

Jaden Smith and the Case of the Spiked Pancakes

WELL, well, well. What have we here? Jaden Smith, genius child of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, is engaged in Twitter warfare and his target is the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto.

It seems the hotel had the audacity to ask him to check out when his stay was over and Jaden was unimpressed. Then, to add insult to injury, it “spiked” his pancakes with cheese.

Cheese on pancakes? That is a travesty all right. A culinary travesty.

Jaden's reaction was as understated as you'd expect.

"I'm surprised I'm still alive."

Your move Four Seasons Hotel. Our breath is bated.
