Recruitment begins for 65 new jobs at Knocknagoney McDonald’s restaurant

MCDONALD’S in Northern Ireland will create 65 jobs with the opening next month of a new drive-thru restaurant at Knocknagoney in Belfast.

The chains first two-storey restaurant in Northern Ireland is set to open on November 6.

It is hosting a number of recruitment open sessions over the coming weeks to fill the positions which will include crew members, customer care assistants and general maintenance staff.

Franchisee Des Lamph said: “I’m keen to ensure steady investment in the local economy and I'm thrilled to provide over 65 new full- and part-time positions.

“We offer excellent opportunities for career development and will be developing our own managers from within the business through continuous structured training and education. In addition, we are seeking to employ customer care staff and customer experience leaders who enjoy working with people and creating the ultimate experience for our customers.

“McDonald’s is committed to growing its business in Northern Ireland and this major investment has created significant direct and indirect employment including a boost to the manufacturing, construction and service sectors.”

McDonald’s will be hosting recruitment open sessions in Tesco Knocknagoney community room on the following dates:

• Wednesday October 2 (3pm-5pm)

• Friday October 4 (6pm-8pm)

• Wednesday October 9 (3pm-5pm)

• Friday October 11 (6pm-8pm)
