A LISBURN-based coffee company aims to create six new jobs in 2020 to meet demand for its beans, ground coffee and espresso pods.
Pure Roast Coffee has seen its sales in Britain grow by 30 per cent last year and by 25 per cent in China.
The company has invested £500,000 in new equipment and facilities, including a second coffee roaster and a second high-speed pod machine.
The business employs 16 people and aims to create a further six jobs next year.
Martin Symington, who founded the company, said the investment would allow the business to develop further.
"The additional production capacity enables us to meet rapidly increasing demand from existing and new customers in food-service, including restaurants and hotels, and to diversify in the retail market," he said.
The company teamed up with a Chinese business conglomerate to supply coffee to shops and supermarkets in China.
The first coffee shop opened in Shanghai last year and a further three are planned.
