FLYBE has unveiled its enhanced 2017/18 winter programme from George Best Belfast City Airport, where it will be offering an increased choice of more than 500 flights a week on 13 routes, flying to key cities in England, Scotland and Wales.

Increased frequency is one aspect of the reconfigured schedule which will feature daily flights to Liverpool and Aberdeen, an additional Sunday flight to Cardiff and a fifth flight to Leeds Bradford from October 29.

The popularity of the carrier's successful Manchester and Birmingham hubs continues to rise, with passengers taking advantage of the opportunity to by-pass congested London airports. Both hubs offer up to seven flights a day from Belfast, with timings adjusted to better meet passenger demand.

Using the airline’s convenient 'one stop to the world' site (www.onestop.flybe.com/en-GB/flights), passengers can travel onward with other Flybe regional services or farther afield to an extensive range of long-haul destinations.

Flybe’s chief revenue officer Vincent Hodder said: "The diversity of our destinations is ideal for those wanting to book affordable business travel, as well as those looking for short weekend leisure breaks over the autumn/February half-terms and Christmas/New Year holidays."

Katy Best, commercial and marketing director at Belfast City Airport, said travellers can choose from a total of 522 Flybe weekly flights on a comprehensive domestic route network from Inverness in the north of Scotland to Southampton in the south of England.

"This additional frequency on selected key routes for the winter season provides welcome increased flexibility for our business and leisure passengers," she said.

Flybe’s 13 destinations from Belfast are Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Exeter, Glasgow, Inverness, Leeds Bradford, London City, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton.
