NORTHERN Ireland's largest motor retailer Charles Hurst Group has acquired Belfast Honda.
The business, which will now become Charles Hurst Honda Motorcycles will continue to trade from its current address on Prince Regent Road.
However, it will then move to a purpose-built showroom within Charles Hurst’s Boucher Road complex early next year.
The acquisition and planned new showroom will see the business retain the operational staff currently employed.
Charles Hurst operations director Colin McNab said the acquisition represented an important investment for the growing business:
“We are delighted to welcome Charles Hurst Honda Motorcycles to our growing group of dealerships. The business is a fantastic addition to our range and offers a great extension of our existing motorcycle offering which currently includes both Yamaha and BMW retail units," he said.
“Charles Hurst is committed to offering our customers the highest quality vehicles with the best customer service possible and the acquisition of Charles Hurst Honda Motorcycles will enable us to continue to deliver on that promise.”
This is the latest in a series of major investments Charles Hurst Group has made in recent months including the opening of its new £500,000 BMW Motorrad retail unit on the main Boucher Road complex.
The showroom stocks the full Honda range of new motorcycles and scooters, as well as a range of used motorcycles, accessories and clothing. The retail unit also boasts a fully-equipped workshop complete with the latest diagnostic equipment and a team of manufacturer-trained Honda technicians.
Charles Hurst Group is Northern Ireland’s largest automotive retailer, representing 20 automotive brands across seven sites.
Founded in 1911, its headquarters are located in Belfast on a 20-acre retail site, making it the largest automotive park in Europe.
