BELFAST indie trio Sea Pinks return with another album of effervescent jangle pop. Released via mainman Neil Brogan's CF Records imprint, Watercourse builds on the full band sound-orientated promise of last year's excellent Soft Days LP.

The breezy, 'Echo & The Bunnymen at the beach' shuffle of the album-opening title track sets the tone for the ensuing 30 minutes, which climaxes with Pining Away's catchy ringing/chiming guitars-powered ode to lost love after taking in highlights such as garage pop rumbler Playin' For Pride, Water Spirit's bass groove-bound melodic churn, the marvellously moody indie guitar swing of recent single Into Nowhere and country rocking outsider anthem How Long Must I Be Denied?

Hear these and other standouts – such as stripped-back seaside love ballad I Don't Know What I Would Do (Without You) and Shock of The New's Dinosaur Jr-uplugged charms – now at Seapinks.bandcamp.com.

Should you become enthused, be advised that Neil, Steven and Davey will be launching their magnum opus with a Belfast show at The Black Box tomorrow evening.

Support comes from Oh Boland and The Penny Dreadfuls, doors are at 9pm and admission is £7.
