TRIBUTES have been paid to 20 year-old Co Down woman who died suddenly while on holiday in Croatia.
Sarah Lee-Anne Reid from Magheraknock near Ballynahinch was found unconscious outside a nightclub in the busy tourist resort of Hvar last Friday evening and rushed to hospital.
Doctors battled to save the 20-year-old but she died after suffering cardiac arrest in the ambulance.
A post mortem examination is due to take place to determine the cause of her death.
Ms Reid was a former pupil of Friends School in Lisburn and a member of the school’s Intermediate Girls Relay team, who qualified for the Ulster Schools’ Athletics Championships in 2012.
She later attended Wellington College in Belfast for a period.
It is understood that Ms Reid was visiting the popular Croatian holiday resort with friends when the tragedy struck.
Her family paid tribute to a "precious daughter", a "loving and much loved" sister and granddaughter who will be "loved and missed always".
A spokesman for the Foreign Office said they are currently investigating the 20-year-old's death.
"We are supporting the family of a British woman who tragically died while on holiday in Croatia," they added.
A service of thanksgiving has been confirmed for Edengrove Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 3pm.
