WHERE better for youngsters to get creative over the summer than in Belfast School of Art?

And what more inspiring tutors could you have than young artists from Ulster University Belfast campus who have recently graduated with a degree in the subject?

Now, thanks to sponsorship from the Garfield Weston Trust in London, the university and graduates have teamed up to host a series of free art workshops for children, beginning on Thursday, August 9.

As well as graduates, current students will be involved in the workshops, working as art facilitators for classes including a potato print party, fancy dress life drawing session, collage cool club, weave woolly workshop and a festive Christmas clay club.

Held at Unique, the university's student-led art and design shop, children from age six upwards are invited to come along and express their artistic flair.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information visit www.ulster.ac.uk/artshop/home
