Sectarian progressives

READING Jim Gibney and Brian Feeney (May 14) I laughed at the 'shinner spinners' putting a brave face on the low SDLP and Sinn Féin turnout, as the unionists increased by 5 per cent. These 'progressive' men predicted Sinn Féin advances in Belfast, but the north and south said 'No'.

Gibney wrongly called the SNP the Nationalist party but it is the Scottish Nationalist Party.

The SDLP, under the grumpy and weak McDonnell, are a mess and the shinners are fading after reaching their peak. So, enough sectarian head counting and gloating, Brian and Jim.
