Say no to independence

SCOTTISH voters will face an independence referendum on September 18. The question: remain a part of the United Kingdom or become an independent country will be posed to all Scots.

The New Jersey Legislature and British Parliament should immediately both pass resolutions opposing Scottish independence, urging the people of Scotland to reject independence and maintain the union.

As part of the UK, Scotland has maintained strong business ties with New Jersey and the entire US.

A strong, united Britain is an invaluable partner for our nation's economy and military defense. Scotland must remain a strong part of the UK.

No to Scottish independence.
