Peace is the one word missing in British vocabulary

IT WAS but right that the armies of the world combined including Britain, Russia, Poland and the US and stopped the Germans building their empire in Europe and further afield. Bizarrely the aforementioned Britain was simultaneously, during both wars, expanding and maintaining the British empire worldwide.

Why did the armies of the world not unite and stop Britain's 'earth shattering' empire being built and expanded?

Churchill was much admired and praised for his actions in stopping the march of the German empire, yet, while the second World War was being fought, his parachute regiment was based in the Middle East ethnically cleansing someone else's country, where Britain, by force, actually put a country inside someone else's country, creating as Churchill said "our little Ulster in the Middle East".

It is alright for Britain to build an empire by force, terror, etc but not Germany (two wrongs don't make a right). Indeed those double-standards are still on-going today.

We have here in Ireland the British army's bomb disposal unit and a good job they do and praise to them for their bravery but then we have more than 100,000 members of the same British army using much larger hellfire missiles which cause death, terror and major bloodshed in Muslim countries.

Do as I say not as I do is alive and kicking in Britain today. sadly as I watched the D-Day commemorations it was noticeable that not one thought was given to the dead victims in this new century in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc who had the misfortune to have Britain's war machine come calling.

When will the world bullies repent and learn that their glorious wars only breed resentment and more violence. One word that is missing in British vocabulary is peace. Why, oh why?
