FIrST let me applaud Newton Emerson on his adroit analysis that First minister Peter robinson has not, by his u-turn sunk the plans for the maze Peace Centre (August 17).
Newton is correct that as a bargaining chip the maze centre has indeed merely been recycled and bumped into the agenda of the five-party talks chaired by richard Haass.
Is it possible that this recycled maze chip - the Holy Grail of republican war legacy - will be tendered by the DUP in a horse trade for the restoration of the flying of Union flag on Belfast City Hall 365 days per year?
