Time to stand up to Orange Order

ANYONE who reads Eamon Phoenix's On This Day will know that trouble at Orange marches is not a new thing. It has being going on for decades but still this minority group holds the rest of us to ransom year after year - aided by a Parades Commission which refuses to sanction them. The time has come to stand up to this organisation. It costs millions to police these parades because these people think they have the right to march where they like. No-one would care if they marched up and down the Shankill Road all year round. So, if they want to walk then let them pay the cost of policing these parades. If the Orange Order won't talk then let them pay for the privilege of walking. MARTIN GALBRAITH
