Loss has no boundaries

PAT McLarnon's quite calm and telling letter (June 10) does I believe sum up the opportunism of Jim Allister, the naivete of Ann Travers, the paralysis in the SDLP to give coherent leadership and most importantly the loss of the fact that pain and loss do not have boundaries in conflict.

That last point is compounded by the remarkable tunnel vision of Ms Travers and the negation of the reality of what state forces have been responsible for here.

I do not expect any examination of conscience by Mr Allister, after all he was against any idea of inclusivity and acceptance of diversity here.

For Ms Travers, she may feel she has gotten her pound of flesh (at what price?). For the SDLP MLAs, do they know what they have done and why they did it?
