Novosco jobs boost is a welcome development

News that a Belfast-based IT firm is to create 150 new jobs is a welcome announcement at a time of wider economic uncertainty.

Novosco will almost double its workforce with a £20 million expansion project over the next three years. Most of the jobs will be in Belfast with 32 in England.

The company provides services to businesses and public sector bodies in Northern Ireland and was recently awarded a major contract for Cambridge University Hospitals.

The jobs on offer are highly skilled roles and will pay average salaries in the region of £42,000, which shows the value of encouraging IT training and qualifications among our young people.

It is great to hear such positive employment news which represents a tremendous boost to the local economy.
