Huge courage of Ross Davidson

Ross Davidson has shown enormous courage and determination after an horrific scooter accident while on holiday in Thailand led to the amputation of his right leg.

The 24-year-old Co Antrim man has now walked for the first time on a newly-fitted prosthetic limb, thanks to the dedicated help of staff at Musgrave Park hospital in Belfast.

Ross has set himself clear goals in life, including resuming his travels, saying calmly as we report today; `There are people who have worse problems than me'.

The way in which he has dealt with adversity, without ever resorting to self pity, has been truly inspirational at every level.
