While Malin Head in Co Donegal is Ireland's most northerly point and a stunningly beautiful area, it is not in the most accessible of locations and has tended to be lacking in facilities.
However, its prospects have clearly been transformed by the massive international attention which has followed its use as a backdrop for scenes in the latest Star Wars movie.
As we reported yesterday, tourist body Fáilte Ireland is planning to respond by improving roads, providing additional parking and building a new visitor centre.
There will be a strong welcome for the investment, even if it needed the arrival of a spaceship in the shape of the Millennium Falcon to finally put Malin Head on the map.
