Co Tyrone woman Mandy Chism has displayed enormous courage by volunteering to help young people manage their own health and wellbeing after losing her own teenage daughter to suicide last year.
Elle Trowbridge, an award-winning showjumper, was only 16 when she took her own life at the family home outside Omagh as a result of shocking online bullying by strangers.
Her mother has trained as a facilitator with the Hopeful Minds programme, as we reported yesterday, and takes a weekly class at Drumragh Integrated College where Elle was a pupil.
It is an important initiative, designed to build confidence and resilience levels among the students, and it represents a fitting tribute to a much loved girl.
