Timely warning from Jonny Ramsey's family

The family of Co Down teenager Jonny Ramsey, who died last month after reportedly experimenting with what are known as UFO pills, deserve great praise for warning others of the risks they face from drugs during the party season.

Jonny, from Saintfield, collapsed less than a fortnight after his 18th birthday, and his relatives said they would be ``forever grieving a wonderful young man".

As we report today, they have posted a Facebook message highlighting the dangers involved in giving in to peer pressure, and pointing out that even one tablet can be laced with additives which may prove fatal.

If their appeal to young people to ``be strong enough to say no'' is heeded, it could prevent further tragedies over the run-up to Christmas.
