Colin and Eithne Bell richly deserve lottery good fortune

It would be hard to find more deserving winners of the lottery than Colin and Eithne Bell from Newry, Co Down, who scooped £1 million in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw.

The couple were left devastated following the tragic death of their 26-year-old son Kevin who was knocked down by a car in New York in 2013.

They subsequently founded the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust which has helped hundreds of families who have suffered the loss of a relative abroad.

At a time of shock and grief as well as worry about the financial cost, the charity steps in to help bereaved families bring a loved one home to Ireland.

So many people have cause to be grateful to Colin and Eithne Bell and their family for all their help and support during the most difficult of circumstances.

They give so much and it is only fitting that they enjoy this good fortune which will be warmly cheered by people throughout Ireland.
