Defacement of Belfast mural is a disgrace

The defacement of a Belfast mural dedicated to an Irish Zionist who fought in World War One is a disgraceful anti Semitic act which should be widely condemned.

Police are treating the spraying of offensive slogans on the mural at Northumberland Street as a hate crime and it is important society rejects such unacceptable behaviour and offers support to the Jewish community.

Anyone who can help identify the perpetrators should come forward to the PSNI.
