Courage of Louise James

Louise James has displayed enormous courage after the loss of her partner, two young sons, mother and sister in an appalling drowning tragedy in Co Donegal in March.

She has shown a strong commitment to fund-raising initiatives and the latest is an attempt to create a new world record for the greatest number of people wearing Christmas jumpers in the same place.

Participants making a minimum donation of £10 have been invited to assemble at Waterloo Place in the centre of Derry from noon on Sunday December 18, with Muscular Dystrophy UK, Children in Crossfire, the Foyle Hospice and Concern among the groups to benefit.

It is a worthy cause, which will hopefully capture the imagination of the public in Derry and beyond, and it deserves to be widely supported.
