A Downpatrick family are lucky to be alive after a lightning strike set their house on fire, causing extensive damage.
Pictures of the ruined home give an idea just how severe this blaze was and how fortunate Paul Reilly, his father and two young children were to escape unhurt.
This was an absolutely terrifying incident which could have been much worse but as it is the family will need lots of support as they come to terms with their narrow escape and the loss of their home and belongings.
