An arson attack in north Belfast not only caused significant damage to a house but could easily have resulted in the deaths or serious injury of those inside at the time.
As it was, two men were treated for smoke inhalation after the front of the property in Ligoniel was set on fire.
Police are investigating a sectarian motive for this despicable crime and it is appalling to think that someone deliberately and recklessly started this blaze, destroying property and putting lives at risk.
Anyone who has any information about this attack or those who carried it out should come forward to the PSNI.
