Jack Whyte will be sadly missed
As many poignant tributes have stressed after his tragic death through an asthma attack, 14-year-old Jack Whyte made a massively positive impact in a range of areas during his all too short life.
The talented north Belfast teenager was known affectionately as `Broadway' because of his love of drama, dance and the stage and was also an enthusiastic GAA player.
Although it is such a common condition which affects hundreds of thousands of people, it always needs to be remembered that asthma can present sudden and serious risks and is responsible for an average of three deaths every month across Northern Ireland.
Jack is to be buried after Requiem Mass tomorrow and there will be enormous sympathy for his family and friends in the difficult days ahead.
