Easter message is one of hope

EASTER is my favourite time of year. You're not going to be let down by the weather either way at Easter: it can rain or shine, be snowy or barbecue-y, and we won't really be disappointed.

I love that because our Easter weather matches the pattern of emotions surrounding the Easter story: the people around Jesus, his followers, went through such a variety of emotions, from elation on Palm Sunday, to depression on Good Friday, to total bewilderment and joyful incredulity on Easter Sunday. They experienced it all.

Note the sequence of emotions there carefully, though. It is a story with a joyful ending. Jesus is alive. You may be facing difficult situations but the message of Easter is that there is hope for all of us. In the middle of all life's ups and downs, I wish you and yours the peace, joy and hope of the Easter season.
