VIDEO: Man jailed for pushing ticket inspector on tracks in vicious attack

A 41-year-old man has been jailed for 42 months after pleading guilty to actual bodily harm and endangering the safety of a passenger at Hanwell station, west London.

CCTV footage caught the moment that Andrew Kapta, of Twyford Avenue, Acton, violently pushed a ticket inspector on to the tracks, shortly before a train entered the station.

Blackfriars Crown Court heard how Kapta had been drunk and acting erratically at the station 45 minutes before the attack took place on June 17.

The force with which Kapta pushed the inspector meant he was unable to climb back onto the platform, but was forced to walk along the tracks to the platform ramp.

Thankfully, the injured ticket inspector suffered no long-term damage as a result of the incident.
