A FAMILY let its dog loose on a trampoline in the back garden just like in John Lewis’ heart-warming Christmas advert – but it didn’t quite go to plan.
Instead of the usual tear-jerking narrative, this Christmas the department store released a more upbeat advert – the highlight being a boxer dog having the time of his life on a huge trampoline on Christmas day.
When Phil Brunskill’s children decided to recreate the moment with the family’s cockapoo, they probably weren’t expecting to end up with a shredded mess of a trampoline – but that’s exactly what he says happened…

Phil shared a photo of the apparent aftermath of the family dog’s jumping session on John Lewis’ Facebook page, writing: “Further to your advert the kids thought it would be a great idea to put the cockapoo on the trampoline… see photo attached.
