THE parents of seven-year-old Summer Grant, who died when the bouncy castle she was playing on blew away, have paid tribute to their "bright, beautiful and most loving little girl".
The seven-year-old died from multiple injuries at a fun fair after a strong gust of wind apparently swept the inflatable 150 metres across a park in Harlow, Essex, on Easter Saturday.
Cara Blackie, the girl's mother, said she was "truly heartbroken" in a tribute released by Essex police.
She said: "Words just can't explain how I am feeling right now, life is just truly cruel. Summer was a bright, beautiful and most loving little girl, it is so unfair that you have been taken, it just doesn't make sense.
Summer's father, Lee Grant, spoke of the whole family's shock, saying: "I never thought our beautiful angel would be taken away from us or that we would outlive her.
"She was the most happy, polite and beautiful girl in the world. I still can't come to terms she's not here.
"We all love you so so much, you will always be with us; love you to the moon and back, all our love Daddy, Mummy and family xxxx."
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate would like to speak to anybody who has information or who took footage at the fun fair on Saturday.
Members of the wider family also spoke out to thank fundraisers for helping them give Summer, from Braeford Close in Norwich, "the send off she deserves".
More than £2,500 has been donated online to support Summer's grieving family after a JustGiving page was set up.
Shawn Grant posted: "Thank you everyone for the kind words and donations to help my beautiful little niece have a send off for a princess. Summer you will always be in my heart. Uncle Shawn xxxxxxxxx".
Another message said: "I am Summer's grandmother. I want to say thank you all who donated and for the heartfelt messages here. It will give our beautiful angel a good send off."
The fair was closed on Sunday but a steady trickle of people visited the park, leaving messages including: "God has taken a beautiful girl for his angel. RIP Princess", while flowers and teddy bears have been left by the park entrance.
A man, 27, and 24-year-old woman, both from Cambridgeshire, who were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence following the child's death, have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
