IN Game of Thrones we are used to seeing actresses Gwendoline Christie and Natalie Dormer look very different.

But the actresses, who play Brienne of Tarth and  Margaery Tyrell respectively in the Northern Ireland filmed HBO drama, have taken to the red carpet in London for the big screen premiere  of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2.

And they reunited with Hunger Games co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth  in London's Leicester Square.

Also walking the red carpet on Thursday night were Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Sam Claflin, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore and Donald Sutherland.

Director Francis Lawrence and producers Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik are also due to be present.

The final film in the four-part franchise, which is based on the trilogy by American novelist Suzanne Collins, will conclude the story of Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) and her battle to liberate the citizens of Panem.

As Panem descends into a full-scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) for a final showdown.

Realising she is fighting not just for survival but for the future, she teams up with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Hemsworth), Finnick (Claflin) and Peeta (Hutcherson) - on a mission to free the districts and end the brutal regime.

They stage an assassination attempt on President Snow, who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying Katniss and everyone who opposes him.

:: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 is in cinemas on November 19.
