A teenager who died in a stabbing in Dublin has been described as a talented footballer who had attracted the interest of a number of professional clubs.
Josh Dunne (16) was stabbed during a row between two groups following the alleged theft of a bicycle in East Wall on Tuesday night.
Two others, a 16-year old boy and a man in his 20s, were also seriously injured.
Gardaí have begun a murder investigation and say they have spoken to several teenagers and adults who were at the scene.
Josh, from Ballymun, was a talented underage footballer who played with local clubs including Bohemian FC.
The club said: "This is an extremely difficult time for all of Josh's team-mates. The loss of someone so young in such circumstances will be hard for them to comprehend.
"Bohemian Football Club encourages them, or their parents on their behalf, to come forward and seek help if they are struggling. We will do all we can to support our players, past or present."
