The coronavirus death toll in the Republic of Ireland has risen to 1,714 after a further two deaths were announced by the NPHET.

There have been 13 new confirmed cases of the virus, taking the total to 25,368 since the Covid-19 outbreak began.

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland one further death has been recorded and three new cases confirmed. Read more

The death toll in the north now stands at 544 for people who had tested positive for coronavirus. To date, 69,553 people have been tested and 4,866 returned positive results.
