A MAN has been shot while sitting in his car in broad daylight.
Gardaí rushed to the scene at Griffeen Glen Park in Lucan, Co Dublin, at about 1.50pm on Wednesday.
The man, aged in his early forties, had been shot multiple times.
He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown in a serious condition.
A burnt-out vehicle could be seen near the scene of the incident on Elm Way.
The road was closed and the scene was preserved.
Investigations are ongoing.
