LADY luck has turned her winning smile on a Donegal family for a third time just weeks after one of them scooped €25,000 on RTE's Winning Streak game show.

Inishowen man Pauric Collum will compete to spin the wheel tonight weeks after his cousin, Maggie Collum had her twin sister, Rosie deputise for her.

For Rosie, from Falcarragh, her good fortune came 10 years after she also won €37,000.

The RTE 1 programme attracts a huge audience every Saturday night. Contestants win the right to take part by buying a winning scratch card containing three stars and going through a live draw. Each week, the show features five contestants who can win up to €500,000 as well as cars and holidays.

Mr Collum, who lives at Redcastle between Derry and Moville, found out when a neighbour phoned him after he returned from Mass last Saturday evening.

A spokesman for the show said: "The Collum family really is on a winning streak.”

Mr Collum's appearance tonight will be the third weekend in a row that a native of Donegal has featured.

Last Saturday, Letterkenny grandmother, Teresa Shiels won €28,000 while Gerard Muldoon from Killygordon lifted €20,000 as well as a €25,000 electric car the week before.

Mr Collum and his wife, Agnes said they have no plans yet for whatever they might win.
