THE estranged husband of a 38-year-old Dublin woman has been charged with her murder.

The body of Joanne Lee was discovered in the wardrobe of a house on Ranelagh Road in the city last month.

Her estranged husband Keith Lee (42) was charged on St Patrick’s Day.

He appeared before a special sitting of Dublin District Court yesterday.

A Garda sergeant told Judge Gráinne Malone that when charged Mr Lee made no comment.

Mr Lee, whose address was given as no fixed abode, was remanded to Cloverhill Prison.

He is due to appear in court again on Wednesday.

Mr Lee arrived for the court sitting in a wheelchair with orthopaedic boots on both legs.

Judge Malone said he was to receive any medical attention he required.

No application for bail was made.

The remains of Ms Lee, also known as Joanne Ball, were found in a wardrobe in a flat on February 15.

She had been reported missing by her family two days previously.
