A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Co Armagh has appeared in court over the murder of a taxi driver in Co Louth last year.

Joseph Hillen (22) of Glendesha Road in Forkhill appeared in Drogheda District Court charged with the murder of Martin Mulligan.

Mr Mulligan (53), from Dundalk, Co Louth, died from stab wounds on September 28 2015. His body was found close to his taxi in Kilcurry outside Dundalk.

Mr Hillen was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court in west Dublin on Thursday.
